We are looking to hire an experienced Conversational CNC Milling Machine Programmer at the machine for the hours of 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday, with overtime as required. Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Conversational CNC Milling Machine Programmer to join our team. This position is ideal for a skilled machinist/programmer who enjoys working in a job shop environment where no two days are the same. The right candidate will be comfortable programming and setting up milling machines using conversational controls while producing a variety of custom parts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program, set up and operate CNC milling machines using conversational programming
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to produce precision components
- Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machining strategies
- Perform first-piece inspections and ensure parts meet quality standards
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues as needed
- Maintain clean and organized work environment
- Work closely with team members to meet job deadlines and quality expectation
Qualifications:
- Experience programming CNC milling machines with conversational controls
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and setups
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience working in a job shop environment preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple jobs and adapt to changing priorities
Education and Experience Requirements:
High School or GED Required
3-5 years CNC machining experience preferred but may consider applicant with less. Willing to train a motivated individual with a desire to learn and build a career.
